We have supported this beneficiary to accomplish her 2nd year BSc. We have found that she is regular to college, making good progress in studies. Our review team further verified the situation of the family which has not improved much in last year.

Two students from the same family living in a village in Kancheepuram district are struggling to pay the fees for their undergraduate studies. Their village is quite far from Sriperumbudur and Aalayam's reviewer had to spend hours to find the house in the remote area. One of the girls is in her first year in a B.Sc programme while the other is in her second year in a B.A. course, both at a college in Sriperumbudur.

The students have a sister and a brother. The family lives in a small house, which has just a kitchen and a room. The parents are daily wage earners, without a steady income. The father's younger brother works in a steel store and extends some support for the family.

The students show a keen interest to pursue their studies and find a good career path. Aalayam has agreed to extend assistance of Rs. 20,000 (BSc) and fees of Rs. 10,000 (BA) for the year.
